5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable reference book, 20 Mar 2010

At the Amnazon price, this book is a must for everyone who may want to know about the world around them. Apart for the political and demographic information, I find the astronomical data absolutely engrossing. Where else can you find out why dawn and dusk appear to recede at different rates at the Winter solstice ? What is the equation of time ? Whose birth or death coincides with birthdays of members of your family ? You don't need this every year and one copy every decade is probably adequate for most people. If you like reference books, this is the best.
