The Island of Horror is a beautifully drawn puzzle book where you start off leaping out of a burning plane! You have to find your way off a scary island, avoiding monsters, bandits, lava and fast growing creepers. You have to find hidden treasure, solve puzzles, make your way through mazes and choose which path to follow on each page.
Our three-and-a-half year old loves this book. He keeps on "reading" it with us. There are many different routes through the book, and although there is only one way to get all the way through, he still enjoys going down the blind alleys and dead ends. He likes counting the teeth in the hidden skulls dotted throughout the pages, and his favourite page is the ghostly tower with the different shapes to find.
All in all, a great puzzle book for young children, that's fun to go through again and again.
