I have found this book very easy to use and extremly useful. All the tems are explained in a very easy language.

I would not recommend this book. I've been using the CGP biology revision book and have hardly used this endorsed by edexcel book. Far too much information and the questions asked are not at all like the past papers questions. When I'm onto A2 i will not be buying it instead i'll just use the CGP book and past papers.

Well my teacher forced my class to get this. It looks really nice but isn't too straightforward. Doubt I'll use it...

Bought this book for student studying Biology. Good price and very easy to follow format to teach and learn module components. Interactive CD is great for individual learning.

I bought this book as requested by my daughters 6th form school. I have not had anything else to do with the book. My daughter is pleased with it though.

This book has been written in a very simple language but it is so brief that it has cut so many corners and not enough information for the A-level Chemistry subject.

A2 Student here - Firstly, the good news. This book is written in easy-to-understand language and the diagrams are neat and useful in most cases. The book is laid out in an easy to navigate fashion, and the index and ActiveBook will both help you search out information quickly if you can't find it.

Now for the bad news - despite all the nice things I'd love to say about this book, the truth is that this book is riddled with mistakes - so much so that our school had to switch from using this as a text book. We now use Edexcel Chemistry for AS, which is similarly priced and endorsed by Edexcel. I'd recommend that book because it is very good at explaining some of the more tricky Unit 2 principles, and as far as I can tell, doesn't have any errors.

In short, this book is good albeit pricey supplement to your learning, but there's a lot of material out there for around the same price or cheaper, which is better suited to getting you the grades you want. In particular I'd like to take the opportunity to recommend AS-Level Chemistry Edexcel Revision Guide, which I found to be a lot more helpful with revision (although still not perfect) - it covers all the topics in sufficient detail, without being too wordy!

This book has alot of relevant information in it but unfortunately some topics you do in the course like effects of smoking or cafeine are not included in the book and some of the diagrams are not labelled clearly and do not include enough detail to fully help you.

This book is an excellent buy for students looking at attaining a B or an A in their AS Level Chemistry. I studied AQA Chemistry but wasn't satisfied with the AQA book so I bought this book and managed to get an A. Very useful, very detailed, it's almost as if you can use this book alone to learn the course. Highly recommended!

I just started using this book a month ago and so far I found it quite easy to understand as it gives a good insight into the topics.
However there are some errors in it as my teacher also confirmed and it seems to lack detail in some areas. example : there isn't much on thermal and catalytic cracking
