I have just been to Sydney for the first time and took this book with me-absolutely fantastic. It covers everything and has enough detail to be really useful. The maps were helpful, information is easily accessible and I especially loved the pages of separate areas of the city so we could really get to know many different parts of Sydney well.I looked at so many guide books and am glad I chose this one, it is a convenient size to carry around, has such a wealth of information about everything, including cafes, restaurants, all the museums and where to shop, it really was an invaluable travelling companion and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Great too, to have information for places further afield, we used this book to go all over the place, Paramatta, Manley, further down the coast, up to Palm Beach and it was never out of my handbag. I am keeping it safely for my next visit as we are definitely going back, Sydney rocks!

This book is fantastic. I have bought this one to update my 10 year old book so I can return to Sydney and sightsee all over again. Loads of good tips and maps.Last time we went to Sydney we used it all the time. It has loads of colour pictures and photographs and very easy to follow colour maps. Maps also for all the transport services too. I would recommend this for anyone travelling to Australia who plans to visit Sydney. It is small enough to carry around with you all day.

Yes it was useful, but was a bit too tourist orientated for my needs, plus the big bug bear was that it lacked a decent map of Sydney to the point that I ended up having to get an A-Z when out there.Had plenty of things to do in the surrounding area, but lacked proper information on how to get out there as it assumed you would have access to a car. I'm sure if you wanted to use it as a tourist guide it would be perfect, and my mistake was that I maybe should have bought a separate map book and guide book as my stay was for 8 months rather than as a fleeting few weeks which I think is the purpose of the book. |
