A proper hand-drawn adventure in these days of computer-generated pulp is a rarity and this tale stands head and shoulders above its contemporaries.Garen Ewing's detailed research is evident in the care given to each panel and the historical context. You don't especially notice this as the tale draws you in and romps along, but the clear and exacting drawings do demonstrate the author's care. A joy for young and old. This is a carefully crafted adventure over 3 volumes and I cannot wait for something new from Garen Ewing's pen. Highly recommended!

Beautifully drawn and wonderfully old-fashioned. This book completes the trilogy and was worth waiting for. The attention to detail is incredible, even the endsheets are bursting with things to read and look at. I was also delighted to see at the end of the book an opening for further adventures. I hope we do get to read more.
