Another gem from Jan Fearnley. Mr Wolf is having a birthday party for Baby Bear. He and Grandma Wolf spend ages preparing delicious food (there's a real recipe for Chocolate Huff Puffs) and getting ready. But when the Three Bears arrive, they bring an uninvited guest - Goldilocks - who is really obnoxious and does everything to try to spoil the party. Poor Mr Wolf! However, Grandma Wolf saves the day. Adults will immediately understand the ending, young children may not, but it doesn't matter. Horrid Goldilocks has gone and the party is saved. Highly recommend this book to Mr Wolf fans and others. It's surprisingly difficult to get hold of, for some reason, and why doesn't Amazon have a picture of the front cover?

My son loves the story of Mr Wolves pancakes so I we bought him this for Christmas. He loves it although i don't actually like this story as much as the pancakes one.

The supplier packaged the book well and it arrived promptly, great pictures and a funny little twist... it's implied that they eat goldilocks in a pie.

This book is a delight! I bought it for my nursery kids, aged 3-4 after we had read Goldilocks and they loved it! Then bought the other versions in this series! Fab! Funny! Brill illustrations! Very current! Could do loads with it with reception and KS1 kids! A wonderful picture book!

Absolutely fantastic. Quite an unorthodox end, so you need a certain sense of humour to appreciate it. the first time we read it, I was concerned how my four year old would react, but she finds it hilarious. Good Mr Wolf is one of our favourite characters now. It is quite refreshing to have a book like that, especially when the large majority of children's books nowadays are way too politically correct.

What a clever story using all the old fairy tale characters! You already know the characters, however the story will surprise you! My little one wants to try out cooking the recipies also! Highly recommend.

Another in the Mr Wolf series and another favourite of my grand daughter. Again the illustrations are great and it brings together lots of storybook characters. Also try Mr Wolf's pancakes.

This book is really good fun! Both for adults and children, turning the familiar story of Mr Wolf and the Three Bears in a contemporary fairy tell. A Must Have!
