4.0 out of 5 stars A different view on employment, 30 Jan 2011
This review is from: Working Bodies: Interactive Service Employment and Workplace Identities (Studies in Urban and Social Change) (Paperback)
Working Bodies is a useful book for social science students interested in service employment and the identities which are formed within it. McDowell looks at both case studies and past research to show how different identities within various high touch services such as care work are formed. I think the book provides interesting arguments for forms of employment which are often overlooked such as sex work.
