This review is from: Mommy Knows Worst: Highlights from the Golden Age of Bad Parenting Advice (Paperback)
Right, you're here. You know about James Lileks, his great website, and his brand of gentle but satirical humour on all aspects of post-war popular culture.

Here he turns his attention to parenthood. Having a baby, feeding it, dressing it, watching it grow up. Simple? Not when you need a kitchen full of equipment to mix baby's formula (and don't forget to keep the bottle of milk in your homemade hay-insulated ice box). Not when the car seat is guaranteed to flip Junior through the windscreen at any hint of braking.

SEE the all-time winner of "the toy most likely to pinch a finger". GROAN as it's once again time to boil some other item of infant paraphernalia. MARVEL at the preparations for home birth. And THANK GOD you weren't on either the doing end or the receiving end of some of these helpful hints.

If you like Lileks, I need say no more. Buy it. Support his work and maybe he'll give us some more.
