A Nikon D3200 is a big investment and this book makes it much more worthwhile, much, much more in here than you can possibly learn from the information supplied with the camera, AND, well indexed.
This is an insignificant cost compared with the investment in the camera, if you own a D3200 buy this book..

David Busch has written guides such as this for several Nikon models and others of different brands. He has also authored several more general photographic titles and is one of the few authors of camera guides who is able to provide authoritative and comprehensive alternative manuals for their users. I have one or more within both groups of books.
Although not of an easily recognisable series in the sense that the 'For Dummies' titles are, this is one of a loose series that covers far more cameras of many different brands than does any other remotely comparable. Although not intended to replace the camera's own manual, but to add to it, it does include just about everything included in the original guide.
Included within its coverage are the camera's controls and its menus, several images that illustrate its possible uses and then explores its many accessories including the optional lenses, filters and flash guns. When explaining the camera features and controls, it often provides a more detailed explanation than the original manual is able to.
Although I had recommended an alternative title to someone who had just bought the camera, I shall add this to the short-list and leave the final choice to her.
A highly recommended choice.

Excellent introduction to the D3200. I've just moved from a 35mm SLR, Nikon F55. Some of the Nikon controls are the same but everything digital is all new. The lost star is because the binding is breaking up not because of the content.

This book won't teach you all you need to know about Digital SLR Photography, but if you own a Nikon D3200 this book is a must have, much more in-depth explanations of the camera than the camera's user guide, the author takes the reader deep inside the menus, programs and sub menus to help you access features that you would not know was there with just the cameras user guide, written in easy to understand text with nice clear colour photo's. I highly recommend this book to any body who owns a Nikon D3200.

Having bought and read many practical photography books over the years, I bought this manual because I wanted to understand the D 3200 camera itself. This book does not disappoint. It explains in clear, understandable language, every aspect of this camera's operation, much of which cannot be gleaned from the on line user's manual. The text is supplemented by excellent diagrams and photographs which together make this book an excellent purchase.
