a very good point of view if you want make being a wife your job.

I really enjoyed this book, there were some bits I didn't totally agree with, but what works for one doesn't always work for all! I think Melissa has a very good view on achieving balance when one of you is the bread-winner & the other the home-marker. These are both important roles that require support from the other & the type of support one needs is not exactly the same as the other. She talks about making the partnership work & not letting ego be more important than your marriage, I've seen this criticised as weak, but actually think it is a very zen approach. I don't believe she was saying it more the wife's job to make the husband happy, than vice versa, I think she was saying that holding out on making your husband happy because you feel unappreciated won't make you feel any better & definitely won't make the situation any better. She emphasises communication, empathy & understand, which, I think we can all agree, help any relationships.
As a young woman approaching marriage, I liked her down-to-earth approach & tone.
