All bases are covered by Henson & Pickering, who have a wealth of first-hand experience to draw upon and great expertise in the field. It's interesting and informative as well as being full of practical tips. A great handbook for anyone wanting to develop the key skills needed to work in musical theatre. Highly recommended.

As a student as David's, this book doesn't compare to being able to ask any question which might pop into your head at any one time. That said, this book has everything one could be taught from a professional actor, including self care, musical theory, acting theory, exercises and tips for a life as a working actor. I would say that it covers all the topics a young actor-singer needs and lays down the foundation for the intricate knowledge any professional might need.

Bought this along with two other books for my granddaughter. She said that they are all really good for her preparation for some weekend courses etc. She is dyslexic but they seem to be fairly easy for her to manage.

David Henson and Kenneth Pickering with their immense experience in performance and teaching have written the Musical Theatre Workbook that should be renamed the Musical Theatre Bible! Incredibly insightful and informative, a must for all performers and theatre students!

For all those aspiring musical theatre performers this is the workbook to have! Full of good advice ,it creates a " pathway"for the acquisition of all the skills needed to become a truthful practitioner...Step by step skills are honed so that having used the workbook the singer can find a voice which is characterised by a sense of " self belief".
