5.0 out of 5 stars Quite likely the London 2012 book you've been waiting for
At this rate it won't be long before I have more London 2012 books than Michael Phelps has gold medals. Normal, non-obsessive archivists might be happy with just this one, however. My previous comments on The Games by The Times heralded that shiny-covered enjoyable read as a potential champion of London 2012 books released this year. Turns out it may have to play Yohan...

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
A good quality well produced book with plenty of photographs. However there is only a summary of the results with just the first three places being shown with their times/distances etc. It would have been nice to have the details of heats and earlier rounds included.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Olympics - What can be done with public money, 13 Nov 2012
This review is from: London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games : The Official Commemorative Book (Hardcover)
A great reminder of a wonderful summer. Public money put to good use can enhance all of our lives. I would suggest that you get this from a local shop rather than Amazon who seem to pay less tax than many of their competitors. Taxes provide the means for society to provide a civilised environment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Glorious London 2012, 29 Dec 2012

A Good record of the results, but disappointing perhaps pictorially. But how can so many events be sandwiched between the covers?

Second time around for ordering the same item/book, which arrived today 09/11/2012. REALLY looked forward to it, but again this item/book was defective, this time pages were stuck together! Print quality review required.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice but not amazing, 15 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)

Bought this as a Christmas present. The paper quality is lower than I was expecting and it isn't quite glossy enough for the money. Nice to remember the Olympics though

1.0 out of 5 stars No point paying for the £100 version, otherwise a great book!, 27 Nov 2012

I saw the "limited edition" version in a bookshop, i'm glad i did. It is no different to the standard version available except it is in a slipcase and has a page at the front saying it is number **** of 2012 copies. Otherwise it is the same print and chapters etc.

Usually limited numbers and slipcase may double the cost but over £100? i just cant see the value.

In general, a wonderful book and a great souvenir of the event; just get the standard version unless you have money to burn!

Item itself is exactly as described but the outer cover was ripped and creased and therefore disappointing as wanted to give as a christmas present.
