5.0 out of 5 stars Good practical guid
A good clear book with lots of practical guidance for anyone who is a independent learner. I wish there was a handwriting practice book to go with the addition so one can start learning in the style of tracing over to get the feel of the pen movements. some good history about where the writing originates from in the beginning of the book.

I'm sorry Nizam Uddin but you are not qualified to have any thing to do with Arabic Calligraphy. You claim to have an ijazah (by who???) nevertheless the quality of your work is way below standards. Honestly, just leave Arabic altogether alone. If you are a caliigraphist, then why do you use computer fonts in your book (for example on page 19)?! I have seen samples of your work on your facebook page and frankly they belong to a beginner to say the least. and Guys don't waste your money on this book or any products related to Nizam Uddin. It's a shame that no one really stop the likes of him from making money in the name of Arabic art..

This is a truly excellent book. I fell in love with arabic calligraphy as i loved art. Omar is a master and teaches you in easy steps to build you through the different scripts, and then you are on your way on making calligrapy masterpieces, canvas presents for family and peers alike. Thoroughly enjoyable to follow and a great book to refer back to once you have got the hang of the basics as you will be practicing calligraphy all the time!
