5.0 out of 5 stars One Hawg Wild Tale, 19 July 2010
By
This review is from: HAWG (Paperback)
Hawg is actually the first book I've read of Steven Shrewsbury and what an impressive track record he has. There are some great scenes in the book that can easily be envisioned as a movie, the creepy opening pages and especially Hawg's killing rampage inside the Ambrose Brothers Printing Company. The writing style reminded me a little of Cormac McCarthy if he were ever to write a horror novel about a barnyard monster. There was enough gore, not to mention a lot of bikers and townfolk getting parts of their manhood handed to them on a platter, courtesy of Hawg. Very convincing creature feature.
