This review is from: Let's Eat Out with Celiac / Coeliac & Food Allergies!: A Timeless Reference for Special Diets (Let's Eat Out!) (Paperback)
I don't understand how this book has won the many awards it bangs on about. It is verbose, patronising and too full of details of the author's "personal journey" with her own string of health issues. It is very American and despite claiming to explore international cuisines, in reality it offers such adventurous menu suggestions as "mixed green salad", "omlette" or "fried eggs" followed by "fresh fruit with cream" in France, with another "mixed green salad", "grilled salmon" and "fresh seasonal fruit" if you want to enjoy the gatronmic delights of Italy. Didn't take much research to figure out what's in them! Save your money and use your own intelligence to figure out that if you have coeliac disease you should "request no bread" or "ensure no wheat flour in sauce".
