This review is from: Warren Ellis' Strange Kiss (Paperback)
This book is one of those strange stories that come along from left field.
It starts off with a car coming around a corner, crashing and one of the two people emerging alive. She then mutilates herself and dies. At the autopsy a lizard is found to be incubating inside her - strange to say the least.
This is where the hero, Sergent Major William Gavel arives. He is a member of the SAS and a combat magician. One of his friends dies in rather horrific cirumstances spraying small lizards from his bowels.
He gets on the case and ...the rest of it would tell you the entire story.
This is short sweet fiction in a comic. It's a short story in comic form really.
I would call it good harmless fun, but I'm not so sure about the harmless bit.
All the same it's well worth a look if you have the stomach for it. 8/10
