5.0 out of 5 stars helpful to home brewers, 26 Dec. 2010
This review is from: Beer Captured: Homebrew Recipes for 150 World Class Beers (Paperback)
Beer Captured was written by the owners of a wonderful homebrew store in southern Connecticut, USA. With acutely discerning palates and as much information from the actual breweries as could be gathered, they personally developed these recipes for well-loved beers from all over the world. The book features a lot of english bitters, in particular. What I like most about this book is how it gives the home brewer a refined sense of which malts and hops, and in what general quantities, are needed to produce the flavors associated with all the different beer styles represented.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beer Captured, 6 April 2011
This review is from: Beer Captured: Homebrew Recipes for 150 World Class Beers (Paperback)
As with all the other books written by this author, all the recipes are easy to follow.
The only real problem is deciding which to make.
Ballards 'Wassail' seems to have turned out really well.
