Deliberately mistranslated in places.
on 27 June 2016
As someone who can understand Arabic to a fair degree, even I can see where Sheikh Hamza has had to mistranslate, add to, or delete certain passages of the original Arabic text to make it conform to his kalaam-derived Ash'aree beliefs. The original Arabic, setting out the classical Hanafee position on 'aqeedah, was specifically worded to address and unambiguously refute the Ash'aree and Maatooreedee deviations in 'aqeedah concerning Allaah's Attributes.
All references to the Qur'aan have been corrupted in translation, and the imperfect, active verbs in the statement "Allaah becomes angry and becomes pleased" have also been deliberately mistranslated - purely because the Imaam's beliefs contradict those of the Ash'arees and thus have to be concealed from the English-speaking reader.
