This review is from: Kursk, 1943: Vol 3 (Archive Series) (Hardcover)
A good series of books , many of the photographs are new not the usual ones so often seen in various publications by way of illustration.
The range and coverage of the photographs is quite good some major personalites of Das Reich and Leibstandarte are captured and many photos are "fly on the wall".
Some have evidently been posed , officers asked to "point" and some taken for a propaganda use - eg smiling POW's shaking hands with german soldiers as if they were long lost friends - this in itself reflects the nature of the war and the use of photgraphic materails.
The captions for the photos are well constructed , intelligent observations.
My one criticism is that the nature of the reproductions do kill some of the detail , better quality reproduction within the production process would have added greatly to the series.
Some of these books might be deemed a little expensive especially at present Uk prices .

Quite good value for money.
