5.0 out of 5 stars So funny, so full of suspense and so entertaining
Fidelis Morgan, who usually writes historical mysteries, has come back to contemporary Britain. This novel is full of humor, based on the situation of women who can sometimes be downtrodden in their personal and professional lives. It could have been tricky, yet it is one of the funniest novels I have ever read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fidelis Morgan continues to entertain..
Unusual characters in unusual situations make for a lively murder mystery. Her writing can be a bit "over the top" but one has to expect that given her background.

4.0 out of 5 stars Alpha for audacity, 30 Nov 2012

The book was great fun and very entertaining. Characters were well drawn and the plot not easily predicted, but this is in part because it is really very implausible in places. However the writing whisks you along entertainingly, and much persuades while you read it that jars a bit when you think it over subsequently. But frankly, who cares?

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulously over the top, 18 Oct 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Excellent - murder as farce, the over the top style and some unlikely situations did not detract from this book. Although it is farce much of the humour is dry rather than laugh out loud & its not a whodunnit in the classic sense but there are murders and other crimes and a number of possible perpetrators. Its told from several points of view and there a number of twists and turns but it is all brought together very satisfactorily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic, 14 May 2014

A murderous farce of epic proportions! More twists and turns
than a twisty turny thing.

Highly recommended reading. Loved it.
