5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
A brilliant, original book. I found it very entertaining, a real page turner. Although aimed at children between 8 and 14, it was very readable.

About a girl from modern day Manchester who has the ability to go back in time, in this case to meet cotton slaves in 19th century America.

Her journey is part of SHARP, Scientific History and Art Reclamation Programme, and meets are organised via her mobile phone. This is a very well- travelled path and I did not find the story credible, moving or exciting...

This review is from: Time Traveller Atlanta Meets the Cotton Slaves (Time Traveller Kids) (Paperback)
About a girl from modern day Manchester who has the ability to go back in time, in this case to meet cotton slaves in 19th century America.

Her journey is part of SHARP, Scientific History and Art Reclamation Programme, and meets are organised via her mobile phone. This is a very well- travelled path and I did not find the story credible, moving or exciting. 'Gotten' is an American casual usage and what it is doing in an English author's vocabulary I am not sure. The writing is not memorable and I don't recommend the book.
