Very nice guide with generally useful information regarding the towns , history and accommodation etc. Well laid out and a good quality book.
Rather misleading, however, in the direction of travel supported.
I plan for the Hadrian cycle way west to east as many people do ( prevailing wind etc) . The guide only narrates the route east to west, this renders the useful description of the routes and local guidance useless. The annoying thing is that the book actually appreciates the 'sheer numbers' that cycle west to east and have actually re-organised their cycle-guides 'website' accordingly!? ref P13)
Great but would rather have had a guide that describes west to east and east to west for ALL THREE ROUTES as per the selling blurb.
I'll keep the book for reference but feel disappointed
