5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended, 8 Feb 2009
This review is from: Psychosynthesis: The Elements and Beyond (Paperback)
This is a fantastic book about the insights of Psychosynthesis. I have seen books on this subject before but they have always been very heavy to read. This is great. Very easy to read and understand. There is a little technical information for those wishing to learn more, but even as a general insight into the world of Psychosynthesis it is superb. There are exercises at the end of each chapter to help you remember it's teaching but I've only done a few of them and have still learnt lots. The author is a teacher of Psychosynthesis and if you go on to his website he tells you how you can go about learning more on the subject and you are even directed to more Psychosynthesis websites.

4.0 out of 5 stars Psychosynthesis . . . by Will Parfill, 7 Mar 2010

This review is from: Psychosynthesis: The Elements and Beyond (Paperback)
The subject of Psychosynthesis was introduced to me by a Counsellor as a possible help in my search for answers to questions about my Self. I went to the library and found Will Parfitt's book. I was immediately interested in the theory developed by Roberto Assagioli, particularly defining the holistic importance of mind, body and spirit, often overlooked by other psychotherapies. The main criticism I have of Will Parfitt's book is his lack of attention to copy editing. There are numerous errors in his text. Not typos, but wrong or incorrect word usage, none of which would be picked up by a Spellchecker but are distracting when trying to follow his otherwise excellent exposition. Toward the end I lost interest for reasons that his important addition to psychoanalysis should have received greater attention to detail in the text. I since went on to find books by better writers who took more care in the production and editing of their books.

This book is written by one of the foremost writers on psychosynthesis in the UK. If you are interested in understanding more about yourself both in the physical world and your inner world where a deeper and higher sense of self emerge, this book will be invaluable. originally published in 1990, and hugely updated in 2003, this book continues to sell for very good reasons, I urge you to find out why.
