I was really disappointed with this book. There was a lot of writing for each figure and not that much step by step photos. If I'd have picked this book up in a shop store I definitely would not have purchased it.This book is not for the first time cake decorator and for the more experienced decorator, the book just seems more of a chore. Very disappointing...

This book show you should own if you want to make very pretty fairies - they are absolutely gorgeous and I think that the instructions are clear to anyone with some modelling experience.

Very well doumented. Pictures were clear and the instructions were understandable and precise I would definately buy Frances McNaughtons books again and in fact have others.Good fun!!

Although the projects are good I found the instructions and pictures could have been better presented. Without wanting to sound cruel it did look like someone had just gone O.T.T with Photoshop. I think on the plus side that it will give you some good ideas for interpretation into your own design.

Before buying this book I read a few of the reviews, one of which said it wasn't a very good book, and something like a photoshop frenzie. Well I disagree with those reviews totally. IF you read the instructions and follow what Frances tells you to do, it is easy. Anyone who has worked with sugar and made sugar flowers will find this book very interesting, and will want to make their own versions of flower fairies. I think it is a very good reference book of modelling fairies.

A great help in the whole business of 'how to do it' - and ideas as well. Well worth buying.

This a wonderful book with excellent step by step instructions how to make fairies.... Having completed the Christmas pixie, i was inspired to make many others in all sorts of colours and positions. I emailed pictures of my pixies to Frances McNaughton who took the time to respond which was great....

I chose to give this a five star rating because I myself found it creative. I enjoy crafting and creating with sugar paste, and find the detail to these fairies precise. I would recommend this book to anyone with an imaginative mind. Good luck and happy crafting.

This book is a must for anyone who decorates cakes. A little girl could never be disappointed with a fairy made from this book. They are stunning! the instruction are clear and easy to follow. the author has included suppliers which is useful considering that the featured work needs additional equipment that are not included in a basic tool kit.

bought the modelling faries in sugar book and it arrived today what can i say fantastic book with detailed instructions and pictures and some of the cutest fairies ive seen all in all a fantastic book from one of my favourite sugarpaste artists would definately recommend this book to anyone and look forward to modelling some of the cutest fairies around
