Georgian England Delightfully Revisited
on 26 April 2014
I am rapidly becoming a big fan of Jane Odiwe. This is the second of her books that I have read to date, but it certainly won't be the last.
Searching For Captain Wentworth was full of perfect detail and had me engrossed for hours. The main character, Sophie, was such a likeable heroine and I must admit to having a bit of envy for her trip to Bath and the events that then play out. Sophie time travels between the present day and Georgian England and we get to meet both Jane Austen and her brother Charles as this beautiful story enfolds.
The whole book felt atmospheric, the characters were well rounded and satisfyingly developed, making an absorbing and hypnotic story. Jane Odiwe has developed the wonderful knack of writing a modern day book, but full of delightful Georgian romance, and who wouldn't want a bit of old fashioned romance?
If you are a fan of Jane Austen you need to check this one out.
