I received this as a Christmas present and was very glad I did. An excellent introduction to different aspects of hunting with hounds - not just the usual foxhunting but also beagling and terrier-work too. Informative text and striking black and white photography, coupled with an introduction by Roger Scruton make this a fascinating volume that I know I will return to over and again.

This is history in the making - an incredible book full of the most wonderful black and white photographs of the characters involved in hunting, the huge spectrum that hunting with hounds covers from rat to stag, and hunts from the Duke of Beaufort to the Valley Minkhounds. An amazing pictorial document at a very poignant time in English hunting history. Absolutely not to be missed.
