something in it, but no very rewarding

This book confused me a little - the author keeps talking about the same thing again and again, but never makes himself very clear. I'm sure he has had an experience of realisation but he doesn't seem to be particualrly good at explaining it to other people, or telling them how they might gain such an experience themselves. Having said that, Parsons' constant emphasis on the this-ness and now-ness of experienece is useful - if only there was little more background and substance to the book.
