The book is a wonderfull hommage to Hammer films and the author made a really great job. Most of the stills were never seen before. A pleasure for the eyes, but there are also many backgrounds informations about actors, films and production. A bible for any Hammer fan....and there are still many all over the world ! Thousand thanks to the author Mr. Wayne Kinsey !

If you're a fan of the golden age of Hammer films then this book should be right up your street.

I have numerous books and magazines dedicated to the history of Hammer. They range from the good through the mediocre to the downright awful.
Thankfuly anything from Wayne Kinsey can be relied upon to be the very best of the bunch.
He's succeeded again in managing to bring something new to the discussion. This time it's a coffee table book with some of the most stunning images I've seen committed to print.

It's a pleasure to browse through so many fine quality photographs from Hammers heyday and Wayne should be commended in ensuring they reach a wider audience instead of hiding away in the BFI vaults.

This is a lovely item, beautifully presented and collected into the different genres that Hammer Films produced from the early days up to the late 70's.
The author has put some funny captions on some of the photos, and interesting snippets of information in others.
All in all, a great pictorial momento of a great studio.

An excellent and beautiful hardback book by Wayne Kinsey. The inclusion of many never seen before black and white press stills as well as production shots!
Included here are some lesser known goodies, such as 'Nightmare' ('63) and 'Cash On Demand ('61). They are good large sized images of premium quality-many are scourced from The British Film Institute and rarely shown. A superb investment-which no doubt will be out of print by now!

Quite unrivalled in terms of rare or little seen pictures both publicity stills and behind the scenes makes this uncritical photo-essay worth the price of the ticket. Don't expect insight critique, that's not the object of the exercise and the little text that does accompany the photographs borders on the bland

Most people, one way or another, are Hammer fans of some kind. If you are--Get this book. It's factual without being heavy or pretentious-I really learned things. The illustrations are just superb and most are new (to me anyway). No need to say more. Just get it while it's in print and at a sensible, reasonable price. Definiteley 5 stars.
