5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for anybody with an interest in Clubmans Racing.
This book is essential reading for anybody involved in Clubmans racing particularly Classic Clubmans. Paul has researched his subject well, and it really gives a feeling of how the cars have developed over the years. Fascinating read and a good source of reference.

2.0 out of 5 stars The Lone Furrow, pitty the plough turns over so little.
This book is a serious disappointment. An interesting story without doubt about a very clever and enthusiastic man but for readers interested in this subject matter who want real solid information there is not a single illustration, drawing or photo of any of the Major's inovative construction ideas/solutions that he employed over the years. A missed oppertunity to say...

A missed oppertunity to say the least to make this a 5 star read.

This review is from: The Lone Furrow: The Story of Arthur Mallock and His U2 Racing Cars (Hardcover)
I bought this book because of my interest in in engineering design and it's application to make machinery go faster. The book appears to be an historical ramble through the various Mallock chassis designs without actually saying much about the technical detail. Various characters appear who, along the way, have been involved with Arthur Mallock. The stories flip from first person to third person and the whole thing requires concentration to follow who is talking about whom.
