4.0 out of 5 stars A very informative booklet on a fascinating culture, 6 May 2001

This review is from: Why Do They Dress That Way? (People's Place Books,) (Paperback)
Stephen Scott's narration about this religious sub-culture is written in a way which is authoritive without being arduous.
Its provides a basic description into their anabaptist history and how these 2 groups (Mennonite and Amish) came into being and how they became 2 separate and distinct groups.
Mr. Scott then goes on to answer the questions that many have wanted to ask in an informative and 'relaxed' manner.
After the reading the book, the reader gains an insight and an appreciation about a religious and diverse group.
