von Franz is brilliant. This book is no exception. I gave it to my daughter as a precious and creative vision of the feminine. Franz writes better then Jung (her mentor). Her understanding of fairy tale and myth is exceptional, tinging much of her work.A good read for men and women.

MLVF is on absolutely top form with this one. It may be quite a short book but is crammed full of her wisdom and insight. Totally indispensible for fans of her work. Jung may have laid out the ground that she subsequently covered but the depth of her understanding is pretty much unbeatable. Her humanity and quiet humour permeates this book and once bought you won't want to part with it.

Amazon aren't selling it new but at the time of writing The Book Depository are. Failing that go for a secondhand copy

It is a remarkable book on the language of the "Unconscious Mind" and the profound wisdom of human beings inherent in the stories they tell. It is a book about integration of absent and forgotten parts of ourselves. It is knowledgeable and a delight to read.
