Product arrived ahead of schedule. I'd wanted a good vegetable book for a while and I saw this one at a good price. First glances at this book - it seems to have plenty of information and good tips & ideas. Would recommend.

We have relied on Dr Hessayon's gardening advice for many years but our books are now dated. As he has now retired this is our last chance to get up to date. This book is very good and up to all our expectations

A very good basic guide to growing vegetables and herbs, with sensible recommendations for varieties to help with buying seeds or plants

I love the Dr Hessayon books! They are clear, concise and the layout is easy to find your way round. The Vegetable and herb expect was one of my "bibles", so I am delighted with the updated version.

Ok, there are other books out there with prettier pictures and more text but if you want one book that does it all then this is for you - fantastic reference book for a new or experienced gardener.

Bought this as a present for someone new to vegetable gardening. I have a very old copy of this book, which is my primary source of info and even I thought how much better this new version is.

I have just begun to plant my own veg, such a shame I bought this book afterwards as I realise that I have probably sown all of my seeds wrong!
It is such an interesting book to read.
