5.0 out of 5 stars Comical !
An amusing book that covers lots of areas of bike handling and skills. It written in a humorous way and reads a bit like a comic, but the underlying message is serious enough and it contains lots of useful tips for riders of all levels. It is pretty much exclusively written for a non-suspension bikes and some of the tricks are either not relevant to a full suspension...

3.0 out of 5 stars Humorous if dated now
Technically, this book shows its age with no mention of front suspension forks, never mind full suspension! Has an abundance of cartoons which give details of important techniques, but overall lacks a structured training plan.

It written in a humorous way and reads a bit like a comic, but the underlying message is serious enough and it contains lots of useful tips for riders of all levels. It is pretty much exclusively written for a non-suspension bikes and some of the tricks are either not relevant to a full suspension bike or would be very difficult to perform. But there is still plenty of stuff for all bike types. If nothing else the sketches will make you laugh about all the things that could go wrong ! My brother demanded a copy for his birthday after reading mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Put a smile on your face, 4 Jan. 2012
This review is from: Mountain Bike: A Manual of Beginning to Advanced Technique (Paperback)
This is not a serious training guide, just a light hearted view of the sport. This is not a text, it is a comic book for us foolish mountain bikers. Some of the tales will have you doubled in laughter. Yes there is no mention of front and rear suspension, its showing its age but the fundamental skills are still there. This is wrote for the old skool mtb crew from back in the early 90's.

Buy this and put at the side of your bog, pick up when required. Your legs will go numb.
