Excellent book to give the investment novice an insight to the world of trading. More than anything, Schwager gives an interesting background into the characters of each of the Market Wizards. If only all investment books were this fun to read! Once you start, you won't be able to put it down. Schwager should think about writing an updated Market Wizards III.

If you don't want to spend twenty years and untold sums learning about trading by doing it yourself, learn from the experts in the time it takes to read this book. A great companion to Schwager's FUTURES series, all three should be in any trader's or wanna be trader's library. THE NEW MARKET WIZARDS has what it advertises... market wisdom.

I've read parts of this book 4 or 5 times through, not only is it a brilliant read but provides undying insights into the mind of succesful traders. This was one of the first books I purchased on trading and over 40 books and a lot of profitable trades later, I rate it as the best read of them all. Once you pick this up you wont be able to put it down!

There isn't much Finish investment books available so I tried one made in USA. Not quite what I expected but still money well spent. I must say very motivating book, which tells what kind of attitude, a good investor needs to have to succeed

This is a nice follow-up to the first Market Wizards book. Both books are enjoyable reading and if you pay close enough attention, there are many valuable insights, including the importance of using plain old common sense in trading.

This book like his other 2 books, delves into the nitty gritty of how and why super traders are successful at their craft. These traders view the world differently from us mere mortals, and are generally open to sharing in-depth aspects of their trading styles. Schwager is good at delving into the nuts and bolts of how and why they do what they do, always asking how the "novice trader" can benefit, utilize and make improvements in their own trading accounts. Never being content to just repeat verbatim what these super traders say, Scwager challenges them to elaborate and quantify why they choose one course of action over another.
Apart from being an interesting and easy read, Schwager also discusses the different psychological approaches to trading, such as how traders can incorporate aspects of Neuro Linguistic Training (NLP)into their trading, as well as discussing how the unconscious mind has more of an influence over our conscious mind, than we perhaps realize. Winning and losing at trading, is not always about making great trades, having the wrong mental approach or self-defeating attitude, will bankrupt you just as fast as timing the markets or your trades wrong.

I read this book every year. It is packed with information about trading.

When I first read it years ago I was really disappointed, I was looking for strategies, people telling me to buy the move average, where to put your stops, and so on. I even tried to resell it on Amazon. About 3 years ago I was talking to a scalper and he mentioned one of the interviews, and I decided to dig it out and reread the chapter he was talking about.

I couldn't believe the new layers of information I could relate to.

I did not get as much out of this book as market wizards partly because there is less on forex trading but even so it was worth buying and I will continue to use it as a reference book

I picked this book while waiting for a flight to Hartford. Needless to say it was full of insightful and useful information. Finally somebody peals the myth and mystique behind the futures market. The author gets to the point and addresses key issues. Ive just ordered the original Market Wizards. I am particularly interested in his interview with Jim Rogers (who started the Quantum Fund with George Soros)

this is one of the books on my must have list for anyone even thinking about investing. although these are interviews with top traders, don't be fooled. many of the philosophies that become readily apparent as being shared amongst all interviewed in this title are just as valuable to medium and long term investors as well.
