5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful
This book tells you everything that is very old fashioned and traditional but it is the same things that are still required to help us to make it in this big world. I always read this book when I feel a bit unsure ......A good guide..

2.0 out of 5 stars Definitely boring and lack substance
The book gives numerous examples to birng forward Schwartz's points which I feel were unconvincing. His arguments were not very motivating which is afterall the whole point of reading the book

THE MAGIC OF GETTING WHAT YOU WANT
----------------------------------

Helps cope with the most common dream destroyers:
You don't have enough education.
You don't have enough capital to start your business.
You've got to be realistic in this world.
There is too much competition.
You don't have the time.
The economy is bad.

Provides specific suggestions for creative dreaming:
Know who you are, where you want to go, and learn how
to get where you want to go.
Dream in specifics, not generalities.
Set a deadline for dream fulfillment.
Visualize the dream as already attained.
Make a total commitment to your dream.

Explains why people who develop a positive self-image are fun to be around, assume leadership positions, live well financially, and set a great example for others.

Encourages us to avoid negative information and pay attention to news that increases our spiritual and material prosperity.

Advises us to give more of ourselves in order to achieve our personal goals.

Tells us how we can influence other people to buy from us, work harder for us, and help us get what we want while finding more friends, increased happiness, and peace of mind.
