I got this a few months ago when I thought a return to a 'sensible' life style would benefit my lack of fitness. And did it? Undoubtedly. It is a very interesting, well documented read for a number of reasons - not least the balanced intake of nutrients. I became so fit that I was able to return to my sinful ways, alcohol, tobacco, coffee, spicy and sugary foods, late nights, without too much in the way of distressing consequences... until now. As I gaze in dismay at the saggy, panda-eyed face in the mirror and at the straining dial on the scales I think it is time to read it again. Excellent book even if you don't want to espouse macro as a culture.
