This review is from: Catullus: Selections (Paperback)
On the whole a poor book. For those wanting to improve their Latin this is not the book. For those wanting to find out more about Catullus and Latin syntax vid. Quinn's commentary. Ancona's book is unrewarding, vacuous and a waste of money. Anyone who has found Ancona's book useful should perhaps review the reason why he or she first decided to study Latin, and try studying Jane Austen or some other trite.
