The bearded author is a bit of a hero of mine. Yes, yes, I know he's a bit scary in real life but there's no doubting his genius. I resisted reading 'The Grunts' series on account of:
1) I didn't think I had time in my busy schedule, and
2) I'm 47
I am now very aware that 'The Grunts' is compulsory reading. It is a priority in my busy schedule because it makes me grin and makes me go 'wow!'
The Grunts series also makes me wish I could write with such originality. And that I'd gone to a posh school where I'd learned to write proper, like what Mr Ardagh does
I'll stick to what I'm best at while Mr Ardagh will undoubtedly stick to what he's best at, which is creating imaginative, funny, quirky and genius works of literature for 'children' of all ages
Thank you - and more please x
