Odd one from Haynes
on 14 December 2013
First of all let me point out this manual only covers the following engine sizes:
Petrol: 2.0 litre (1998cc)
Diesel: 1.8 litre (1753cc) and 2.0 litre (1998cc).
This means it does not cover 1.6, 2.3 or 2.5 litre petrol engines and the 2.2 litre diesel engine. It also does not cover the specific differences in the 2.0 litre FFV (flexfuel) or 'Ecoboost' versions.
With that out of the way, Haynes seem to have become very lazy where this manual is concerned, if you have a lot of past experience with various Haynes manuals this will no doubt end up being a disappointment. Aside from the previously stated omissions, diagram quality suffers a lot here with only black and white and the techniques employed in actually depicting the hardware is arguably subpar. That said, it is not impossible to read. If you have anything between your ears you can see what is going on on the page. This is still by far the best manual out there for service and repair, it just doesn't feel like classic Haynes anymore.
