Although the start of the book has a good historic perspective on competitive designs, it then shifts for boring list of chronologically ordered launch history. The author wastes time giving useless information like station height and EVA time. And despite module by module description, there is no technical analysis on how things work overall. For example, how does the cooling system work?

This book is just the sort of stuff that seems hard to find otherwise and it is very readable. Loving all things Space this is really interesting a good insight to how much is involved in the space sttion without being too technical. Idon't just love it because it's a space book (I have some not so good ones) but because it is good.

Intriguing for my 11 year old grandson. Many hours worth of thoughtful schematics. A good deal of time will be spent with this.

This is a detailed and thorough history and description of the ISS, from someone who clearly knows a great deal about the subject and has some passion for it. There are also many, many photographs.

What's missing are some large clear, cut-aways and diagrams created specially for the book (there are small illustration scattered throughout - but not what you would expect from a Haynes book). Otherwise a faultless reference work which take sits subject matter seriously.

very interesting, bought for husband, but I read it as well. Loads of information, but not too technical for lay people.

Well laid out, and with sufficient detail to engage most with an interest in space exploration. I bought it as a gift, and it was very well received.

Detailed (very) and fascinating. A few typos. Stuffed full of numbers and dripping with abbreviations and acronyms. A geek's paradise.
