This book is just about one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. Apart from lots of unusual and new techniques, there are the most wonderful photographs and the book is beautifully laid out. Needle lace is not one of the things that I personally have done much of, being a bead artist, but this book has inspired me to use this technique along with my beadwork. Inspiration galore, and a wonderful gallery too, what more could you ask for?

A wonderful book - it takes you from getting started (design work) to material and a wealth of techniques which are really well explained and shown with plenty of diagrams. It contains a glossary of stitches as well as a chapter called "stretching the boundaries" which explores lacework today.
A really lovely book and due to the very good diagrams, I would recommend to a novice to learn the stitches but is not a book containing the patterns. It guides you through the techniques and shows you of what you can achieve and how.
Highly recommended.

I was disappointed with the contents of this book, more so with the condition. The first page which had been ripped out had not been ripped out carefully at all and had taken a lot of the opposite page with it. Who does that to a book????
