5.0 out of 5 stars Good Primer and Detailed, 28 Jan. 2012
This is an extremely good read and includes a great deal of information on the changes and improvements to weapons and gunnery from 1900 onwards, including reorganisations before and during World War Two. I have read this book so often to check information and remind myself of the detail it covers, that I have worn out my first paperback copy and replaced it and have given another good copy to a dedicated military author for background reading.

This should be read by anyone wanting to understand the role of the Royal Artillery in supporting the tanks and infantry. I would not be without a copy or go on holiday without it.
