This is a fantastic book - passionate and it has a storyline. It's not just all sex. It has a fantastic pace and I didn't want to put it down. The characters are well - rounded and the hero and the heroine are types we all know and love. The story starts with a mis-understanding that once it is resolved really gets things going. I loved this book and I think it's one of Connie Mason's better recent works along with The Pirate. Definitely five stars.

He Rode into Chirk Castle on his pure black destrier. Clad in black from hi gleaming helm to the tips of his toes, he was all battle-honed muscles and rippling tendons. in his stark black armor he looked lethal and sinister, every bit as dangerous as his name implied. He was a man renowned for his courage and stength, for his prowess with women, for his ruthless skill in combat.
But when he saw Raven of Chirk, with her long, chestnut tresses and womanly curves, he could barely contain his embroiled emotions. For it was her betrayel twelve years before that had turned him from chivalrous youth to hardened knight. It was she who made him vow to trust no woman - to take women only for his pleasure. It was she who had made him ruthless and bitter and incapable of love. But only she could unleash the apssion in his body , the goodness in his soul and the love in his heart.
Nice book, full of intrigue and adventure. I guess that if you are a fan of Connie MAson you will aprreciate this one since it is quite good. ALl the elements of a good romance. Tortured hero that at first because of a misunderstanding (typical in Ms MAson's books) grows to hate the heroine of the book who is totally blameless of course. ONe last thing - very nice cover - one could by this book only for it ..i think

This book was ejoyable although I did not feel it flowed very well. The characters needed more depth. At times the story did not seem plausable.I feel the author needed to put a bit more research into the book to make an ok book into an excellent book.

Absolutely loved this, think it delivered everything I expect from a medieval romance, great hero, lovely heroine and a riveting storyline.

Absoloutley awful trash.
My friend loves romance novels and gave me this for my birthday. I was appalled! What is this world coming to? How can you call this romance?! Shakespeare is romance!
All Connie Mason books are plain porn with a hint of a boring story. Classic romance woman, then a classic romance man, then an argument, then sex, then an argument, then sex, then an argument, then sex, then an....... You get the point.
I have never said truer words than the ones i'm going to write now: DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!
