This review is from: Tarot and the Tree of Life: Finding Everyday Wisdom in the Minor Arcana (Paperback)
A fantastically insightful book! It would not be an exaggeration to say that this is one of the best books on the Tarot I've read thus far. As well as offering some (fasinating) interpretations of the minor arcana, Kliegman encourages you to develop your own understanding of the them. This book prised open doors of perception and intuition for me and helped me to really link in with the characters of the minor arcana. Wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh and Inspriational, 16 Nov 2000

This review is from: Tarot and the Tree of Life: Finding Everyday Wisdom in the Minor Arcana (Paperback)
This book is a fantastic and helpful learning aid, not only about the Minor Arcana, but how it ties in nicely with Kabalah. Her writing is refreshing, personal, helpful, funny, and definitily thought-provoking. Through reading this book one learns how the Cards apply to yourself - YOUR LIFE - and how you can divine what is happening and shaping your current life experience.
Tarot and the Tree of Life is a very life affirmative book. You won't find any quick-fixes, nor any "one-line" dogmatic interpretations in this book. The interpretations usually take up 2-3 pages, sometimes more, and they are a mix of psychology, mystical insight, and life experience (often her own).
Isabel R. Kliegman dosn't pull any punches. She tells it like it is, often leaving one spellbound, enraptured, and fully with it. She makes you laugh, makes you think and makes you "look". But she cannot "change" you into a different person. However, this skillfull, witty, charming, *experienced* lady can definitly show you the Arcanum, the Keys to your Life and how you can best use them for positive, life-affirming results.
Tarot and the Tree of Life is a winner. Let it be a map and guide and trusted friend and you can't go far wrong ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars I wish I lived next door to this lady!, 13 Mar 2003
This review is from: Tarot and the Tree of Life: Finding Everyday Wisdom in the Minor Arcana (Paperback)
This is a truly excellent work concentrating on, firstly, the Kabbalah (though very much in accessible, layman's terms), and secondly, the cards of the Minor Arcana (including, of course, the Court cards). The author is original, thoughtful and sensible in her descriptions - she is modest, yet you feel instinctively that she is very experienced and professional in her approach to her clients. I must say that this book is superb, thought provoking, completely atypical, and a wonderful resource for any Tarophile, whether novice or experienced. One not to miss, most definitely! BUY BUY BUY!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book on minors, 3 Jun 2010
This review is from: Tarot and the Tree of Life: Finding Everyday Wisdom in the Minor Arcana (Paperback)
I wish more tarot books are written as this one. One of the few that really deserved my money and my attention. The author is smart, sensitive, with great sens of humor and even greater common sense. Her writing skills are excelent!

She focuses on discussing the usually neglected minor arcana, based on RWS deck, and makes references to Kabbalah.
Although not going to deep into the system tarot-kabbalah, it gives a good start for those who want to know more in this area.

There are no explanations in key-words style of the cards, but more as her experience with the cards (it can be annoying, if you don`t like this) but in the end it leaves you wanting more and opens your awareness to the minors you did not have before. I cannot wait she write one like this for the majors.

5.0 out of 5 stars really inspiring, 20 Mar 2010
This review is from: Tarot and the Tree of Life: Finding Everyday Wisdom in the Minor Arcana (Paperback)
One of the best books on tarot I have ever read. I only wish she would write a book about the major arcana too. Really inspiring, you learn a lot about the tree of life and she gives really good examples of how the cards help resolve modern-day problems. I really love this book.
