5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent and accessible addition to Old Testament scholarship., 13 Nov 2008

In Old Testament Theology, Robin Routledge has written an excellent book that bridges the gap between introductory books that don't give enough information and inaccessible academic tomes which give too much. The chapters are easily readable and offer extensive footnotes for those that want to pursue a line of thought further.

This is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone whether pastor, student or interested other.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings Old Testament Theology to life, 4 April 2010

I own and love this book. whenever i need to look up anything to do with the old testemenet, whether it is a complicated or a simple issue, this book provides clarity and insight into the basic arguments and reasons of topics, plus amazing insights from the author himself regarding his own observation. it is not only a good referance but also makes a compelling read from cover to cover as it is set out in a logical way which leads easily into the next topic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old Testament Student, 25 Nov 2008
By
As a student of the Old Testament, at Undergraduate level, I would recommend Dr Routledge's book. It has been helpful in my current studies, and I trust it will be helpful in my future studies. Dr Routledge gives a well rounded and highly informed view of Old Testament Theology, in a very concise way. The book is not overbearingly long, and is highly readable. He gives extensive footnotes throughout, proving not only his considerable academic rigour, but also his desire to entice the reader into further exploration of Old Testament issues.
