5.0 out of 5 stars Great book on Islam in Britain, 25 Feb 2013
This review is from: Towards Building a British Islam: New Muslims' Perspectives (Hardcover)
This is a fascinating account, tracing Islam in Britain from the Islamic inscriptions on King Offa's coins right through to the very earliest known converts to Islam before focusing on a few key figures in Britain during the last century, including Martin Lings and Gai Eaton. There's also an excellent discussion on Sufism and the mystical side of Islam. Highly recommended.
