This collection of essays on the theme of modernity in the contemporary period is a really fascinating work, with both breadth and depth of analysis and a wide diversity of themes, approaches, techniques, and places, as can be seen from the table of contents below.

Although the volume is over 500-page long, the essays cover about 450 pages, before a substantial bibliography with all the references used by the different contributors.

Well worth reading with an interest in history, art history, sociology, cultural studies.
