This is a substantial study, which should be retitled, as Illustrated Geography of the Himalaya range, a narrow band extending 2500km. This book demonstrates applications for mapping devised of course from software systems, and could equally be disseminated online. The book is printed in China, and is appropriate in dimensions to show the entire range adapted from satellite images across two pages. An immense amount of research and preparation has been invested in the extensive range of maps referring to every aspect of geographical study, including human settlement and culture. For anyone fascinated by this outstanding area, this book will provide a comprehensive introduction to a substantial understanding of the place and its people. All who contributed to this study and publication are to highly commended.
