5.0 out of 5 stars beginners must have
All the basic techniques explained (stencil, linoleum, block printing, screenprinting, potato-printing, etc.), with a list of materials needed and quick easy methods. Suitable for adults and their children too. Fine!

3.0 out of 5 stars nicely presented - but not much info on homemade printing methods..
this is a really nicely presented book - lovely pictures, very easy to understand - great for someone who knows absolutely nothing about printing methods... sadly it doesn't give you much info on how to make printing materials yourself... for example - in the "rubber stamp printing" section the first thing you're told to do is go out and buy a rubber stamp and some paper...

this is a really nicely presented book - lovely pictures, very easy to understand - great for someone who knows absolutely nothing about printing methods... sadly it doesn't give you much info on how to make printing materials yourself... for example - in the "rubber stamp printing" section the first thing you're told to do is go out and buy a rubber stamp and some paper. the screen printing section is the most detailed, but again you're told to go and buy screen-filler liquid and a pre-made screen. if you know absolutely nothing about printing methods and have no idea how to use a rubber stamp effectively - buy the book. it's very pretty. however if you already know how to make your own stamps and stencils and would like to know about more complicated printing methods i'd look elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Book, 30 May 2013

This review is from: Lotta Prints: How to Print with Anything, from Potatoes to Linoleum (Paperback)
This is a fantastic, easy to follow book with realistic projects. I often find craft books have tutorials that mean you have to spend a fortune on materials before you start but this book has a project for everyone. This is a beautifully executed book, the instructions and photos are simple, yet effective. Would definately recommend to anyone interested in printing techniques. Or anyone wanting to refresh old furniture / fabrics etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the book , but the envelope at the back of the book which was meant to hold patterns / stencils was EMPTY !, 6 April 2013

The book is smashing , simple , uncomplicated designs as you'd expect from a Scandinavian designer . Great for giving you a "can-do" attitude to your first or even subsequent projects. But why didn't I get the patterns and stencils that should have been included in the envelope inside the back cover ? I feel swindled !

I did not intend to order this book, so it was really a lucky mistake. For people who are interested in any type of printmaking, this book is full of lovely designs and great ideas.

The Stencils are on pages from 103 onwards. There is a 'wallet' to keep them in when they have been separated from the book.
