This review is from: No Hatch to Match: Aggressive Strategies for Fly-fishing Between Hatches (Paperback)
Rather too much use of the word aggressive ... as in aggressively targeting your streamer etc. makes this a bit tiresome to read in places, at least for those that prefer not to have human traits applied to a fish with a brain the size of a small pea. However, in small doses it makes you think differently about what to do when faced with a cold, grey stretch of water, with no sign of any moving fish or fly activity. Nymphing techniques, long and short lining, and the use of lures (streamers) are covered, together with using large terrestrials (hoppers). Some approaches may need scaling-down for the smaller fish in UK rivers, or avoiding completely on hallowed chalkstreams!
